Jump Start Sports provides camps for children ages 4-12 that focus on cooperation, teamwork, sportsmanship, understandingthe importance of recreational game play, the benefits of physical activity and summertime fun. We utilize innovative drills, competitions, and games to help teach children at their level of skill and understanding. Our fun-oriented and highly instructional camps create an atmosphere that enables children to learn, grow, make friends, and have a meaningful summer experience.  

Each day features a full-camp game in the morning, skill instruction in the day's sport, and afternoon recreational games and activities.

Location: Goodnoe Elementary School   

Time: Half-Day (ages 4-6) 9:00-12:00 Full-Day (ages 7-12) 9:00-3:00

Fee:
Half Day:
$125 a week/$115 for 3 or more weeks/$700 for all 6 weeks  
Full Day: $185 a week/$175 for 3 or more weeks/$975 for all 6 weeks

Camp Themes:
Sports Camp Kickoff (June 24 - June 28)
Kick off summer with Jump Start Sports with your favorite summer camp games and activities!  This includes kickball, dodgeball, capture the flag, tag games, relay races, and more. 

Sticks and Stones  (July 1 - July 5, No July 4)
Have some fun with all of your favorite stick sports. This includes the oldest American sport, lacrosse, as well as hockey, cricket, noodle games and more. Kids will create a Newtown Kindness Rock (stone) to help spread kindness in their community. 

Ultimate Warrior (July 8 - July 12)
Looking for a fun fitness challenge?  Age-appropriate activities specifically designed to challenge, inspire, and excite. Obstacle courses, relays, tug-of-war, team challenges and many other activities designed to teach cooperation and teamwork.

College Days (July 15 - July 19)
Have a blast learning about and playing a wide variety of college sports including (flag)football, basketball, soccer, volleyball and more.  Campers make a school pennant and t-shirt and wear their school colors to demonstrate their school spirit.

Color Wars (July 22 - July 26)
A great old school camp concept. Campers are divided into teams (colors) to play a variety of sports and camp games. This fun format enables children and benefit from the positive aspects of competition while working toward a common goal.

Olympics (July 29 - August 2)
The Olympics are coming to Newtown!  Children are grouped by age and divided into countries to learn about a wide variety of Olympic   sports, including track and field, badminton and more. Campers make a flag to carry at the "Closing Ceremonies" and "Presentation of Medals".
